Crock Pot Barbecue Meatballs Recipe

BBQ meatballs are amazing and you get the great versatility of meatballs with the barbecue sauce taste. This is a quick and easy meatball recipe that everyone loves. These crock pot barbecue meatballs are a great appetizer recipe or are perfect to serve for dinner. So simple to make, these meatballs in barbecue sauce make an incredible meal idea.

Making dinner in the crock pot is one of the easiest ways to get dinner on the table. It also gives meat the best flavor because it lets the flavor get in deep since it is slow cooked. With these crock pot BBQ meatballs, they have the most amazing flavor, are simple to make, and one of the simplest dinner recipe you could ask for.

What is the Easiest Way to Roll Meatballs

There are a lot of ways to roll meatballs. Some people prefer to use their hands and a spoon. This is an easy way to roll meatballs but it does tend to get very messy because your hands are covered in the meat.

The method I like the best is to use a cookie scoop. This makes uniform meatballs that will cook evenly. It is also the most less messy way to create meatballs.

Crock Pot Barbecue Meatballs are delicious, savory and easy to make.

Can You Use Frozen Meatballs

You can. I have used frozen meatballs in quite a few recipes before but with this recipe, I recommend making homemade meatballs. Being the barbecue sauce is mixed in with the rest of the ingredients adds so much more flavor to the meatballs. Then slow cooked with additional BBQ sauce just makes them so flavorful.

How To Store Leftover Meatballs

When you make these barbecue meatballs you will want to store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator. After the meatballs have cooled, move them to the container. When stored properly the meatballs will likely last for up to 3 days.

You can also take the leftover BBQ Meatballs and store them in the freezer. Use a freezer bag to keep the meatballs protected from freezer burn. Be sure to include the extra barbecue sauce with the meatballs.

Crock Pot Barbecue Meatballs are easy to make, savory and delicious.

How To Serve These Slow Cooker Meatballs

There are a lot of ways to serve these slow cooker meatballs. Since these meatballs in barbecue sauce are not the same flavor as meatballs with spaghetti people wonder how to serve them. These meatballs can be served as is with a side of mashed potatoes or rice. They can be served on a roll as a BBQ Meatball sandwich.

Here are a few side dishes that would go great with these tasty barbecue meatballs.

  • Homemade Creamy Macaroni and Cheese
  • Deviled Egg Macaroni Salad
  • BBQ Bacon Broccoli Avocado Salad
  • The Best Mashed Potatoes

Crock Pot Barbecue Meatballs make an easy and delicious appetizer.

How to Reheat Barbecue Meatballs

When you are reheating these meatballs in barbecue sauce, there are several ways in order to reheat them. You can reheat them the crock pot again. Place them in the slow cooker, set it for high if you need the meatballs in a short amount of time, or low if you are letting them cook for a longer time. You can also reheat the meatballs on the stove top.

This is a faster way to let the meatballs heat up that helps to eliminate cold spots. The other option is reheat the meatballs in the microwave. This is a fast way to reheat the meatballs, but sometimes you have to reheat them for longer to get them to heat all the way through and sometimes, this can cause the meatballs to harden or get dried out.
