The Best Mashed Potatoes
Today was a meatloaf and mashed potatoes kind of day. These are the best mashed potatoes ever. The other day I had made my crock pot pork with mashed potatoes. There was not even enough left over so I made them again today. Yum!
Take your basic mashed potato recipe and change up the ingredients a bit and you will have the best mashed potatoes ever. You can even add cheese, bacon, garlic and end up with loaded mashed potatoes for a meal in itself.
Adding the cream cheese to these potatoes gives them such a creamy texture, which tastes amazing! Just boil the potatoes until they are soft, drain the water, add the potatoes back to the pan. Add butter, cream cheese and evaporated milk. Mix with an electric mixer until desired consistency is obtained. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Scoop out a big spoonful, plop it on your plate, add some green onions, chives and whatever else you love on your mashed potatoes. Then enjoy!
How long has it been since you made a batch of mashed potatoes? The best mashed potatoes will be a new favorite. Super easy, super creamy, super delicious! Ready to start peeling? ;)
I want to mention my friend Judith over at The Midnight Baker is where I first saw these cute bowls that I just had to have. Judith let me know that Pier 1 was having a close out on them and I headed right over there. Ended up getting these two adorable bowls and found the perfect recipe to use them for, the best mashed potatoes recipe. Thanks so much Judith!
