Cheesy Salsa Verde Taco Pasta

Pasta is a favorite at our house, and this cheesy salsa verde taco pasta is definitely an easy dinner recipe that can be on the table in no time and tastes super delish.

Cheesy and full of flavor, this cheesy salsa verde taco pasta is both filling and satisfying, especially when you are craving a quick pasta meal.

The taco seasoning, mixed with the unique flavor salsa verde, gives this recipe a delicious flavor. Mix in some sour cream, top with sliced green onions and some cilantro, and you have yourself a delicious meal that everyone will enjoy.

If you are like me, I crave pasta often and have to have it. This easy recipe is perfect and is quick to make. I would say in about 30 minutes this can be served up and enjoyed by all. Look at that cheese! YUM!

Cheesy Salsa Verde Taco Pasta

Ingredients
  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/3 cup taco seasoning
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 12 oz jar salsa verde
  • 8 oz box small pasta shells
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated, plus additional for topping
  • Optional: sour cream, green onions, cilantro
Instructions
  1. Add ground beef to a large saucepan, crumble and then add onions and garlic.  Sprinkle with salt and pepper, stir.

  2. Cook until ground beef is completely cooked. Drain grease and place meat back into saucepan.

  3. Sprinkle with taco seasoning and add water to pan. Cook until water is absorbed.
  4. Pour salsa verde into meat mixture, stir.
  5. Bring water to a boil and cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and add to meat mixture.

  6. Stir grated cheese into beef taco mixture and stir until melted.
  7. Top with sour cream, green onions and cilantro (optional).

    And the pasta portion fits in where? Recipe has no mention of pasta.

      Hi Kay, under Instructions #5 explains when to add the pasta.
