  • 1 egg
  • 1-2 cups Panko bread crumbs
  • 1½-2 cups vegetable oil

Instructions

For The Cheesy Jalapeno Filling

For The Tot Coating

  • Add flour to a bowl.
  • Whisk egg and buttermilk together in another bowl.
  • Place bread crumbs in a third bowl.

Assembling The Tots

  • In a large frying pan, or cast iron pan, heat oil over medium heat to 350 degrees.
  • Form about a tablespoon of mixture into the shape of a tater tot.
  • For each tot, roll in flour, then into the buttermilk mixture and lastly into the bread crumbs.
  • Place in frying pan and fry tots until golden brown on each side, approximately 2-4 minutes. Remove from oil and place on a plate lined with paper towels.

    Hello from Quebec City (Canada)

Thank you for your time and your recipes.

I have a question a bit simplistic, I apologize but what is Fage®? I searched and found nothing except that it was a student association and I doubt that it is in a recipe!

Hi Bernard, It is a brand of yogurt. It’s great and able to be used in many recipes. Thank you for your question. :)
