If you love pinwheels, or roll ups as they’re sometimes called, and you’re a pizza fan then get ready for the ultimate treat. This delicious recipe takes all the flavors we love in classic pepperoni pizza and rolls them up in premade crust. Then, I slice them into medallions and bake them until they’re golden and melty. This is an easy recipe that I’ve been making for years, and it’s always a big hit. I love to bring this to potlucks, birthday parties, or just have them on hand for snacking. In fact, when my kids were in school, these roll ups were requested often because they and their friends always wanted to devour them when they got home!

Pepperoni Pizza Roll Up

This delicious pizza variation starts with refrigerated pizza dough. I top it with cheese, mini pepperoni, and diced jalapenos for a spicy kick. After that, I roll it up tightly, cut it into 1-inch pinwheels, and bake them to golden perfection. After that, they’re served with marinara sauce for the ultimate pizza experience. It’s a great recipe for parties or just because, and it’s always gone when it’s time to go!

Recipe Tips

  • Be gentle when rolling the dough so your toppings stay relatively where you put them.
  • Roll the dough as tightly as possible to create a nice pinwheel.
  • Be sure to leave 1/2 inch of dough when adding your toppings so they don’t fall out when rolling up the dough.

Variations

  • Try adding turkey pepperoni or cooked sausage in place of pepperoni.
  • You can add your favorite diced pizza veggies like mushrooms, onion, black olives, bell peppers or red pepper flakes.
  • Use any variation of refrigerated pizza dough you like.
  • Make you own homemade pizza dough from scratch.
