This honey sriracha chicken with rice is a hearty and delicious chicken recipe made with chicken breasts, honey, sriracha sauce, garlic, lime, and seasoned perfectly, then served over tender rice. An easy weeknight dinner.

Chicken is one of my favorite meats to cook with. It’s just so versatile. The meat isn’t too strongly flavored, which makes it the perfect vehicle for all kinds of delicious flavors. Over the years, I’ve made simple baked chicken with spices, fried chicken, chicken parmesan – you name it, I’ve made it. It’s always so good, and it’s a heck of a lot cheaper than some other meats out there. This time around I’m sharing a delicious chicken dish that’s sweet, spicy, and absolutely overflowing with flavor.
Honey Sriracha Chicken
This is one of the tastiest chicken recipes you’ll ever make. It’s also one of the easiest, which makes it even better in my book. Tender, white meat chicken comes together with cajun seasoning and a delicious sweet and spicy sauce made with brown sugar, honey, sriracha, and more, all served over a bed of perfectly cooked white rice. Every bite is loaded with delicious flavor and the satisfaction of knowing you made a dish that seems like it took forever but actually had you in and out of the kitchen in no time.

Tips and Variations
This is a fairly simple recipe, but I do have some tips that will help you make it as delicious as it can possibly be. I also have a couple of variations so you can switch things up if you like.
Tips
- Cut the chicken breasts into uniform sizes so they cook evenly.
- Don’t rush when it comes to cooking down the sauce. You want to reduce the sauce without the risk of burning it.
- Don’t cook the chicken at a higher heat than medium. You don’t want the flavor of burned butter in your dish.
Variations
- Try making this recipe with beef, pork, or even a white fish like cod or roughy.
- If you don’t like spicy food, omit the red pepper flakes.
- You can serve this dish with brown rice or noodles, as well.
