Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipes

If you’re craving a delicious homemade cookie, you’re going to love the taste of these Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookies. In fact, these are my go-to cookies when I’m craving the chewy goodness of caramel paired with the deliciousness of chocolate in these tasty homemade cookies.

Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookies are soft and chewy, loaded with caramel bits, chocolate chips and walnuts.

I don’t know about you, but I love fresh baked sweets. And not just in a “they’re good” kinda way, but in a way that means I need to have something sweet and baked inside my house at all times. Sweets that tastes delicious. When company comes over, having something to share is a must for me and these cookies are perfect to share with all my family and friends.

Thankfully, I have a family who loves to eat and taste test all my creations every single time I make a recipe. And once I baked up and presented these Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookies to them, I knew I’d hit it out of the park with these delicous cookies.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies with Caramel

We’ve all had homemade cookies before that were good, right? But have you ever had a crispy salted caramel cookie recipe that you loved and adored? Today, my friends, you do. This recipe is going to be your new favorite that you’ll want to make time and time again.

All you need are a few ingredients to get started with these simple homemade chocolate chip cookies.

Ingredients for Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookies

Once you gather up the ingredients below, you’ll be ready to whip up a batch!

  • All-purpose flour
  • Baking soda, salt
  • Brown sugar
  • Sugar
  • Butter
  • Vanilla
  • Corn syrup
  • Eggs
  • Chocolate chips
  • Chopped walnuts
  • Individual caramel pieces

What I really love about this recipe is how many caramel bits there are in each cookie. It’s like you’re getting a bite of caramel goodness along with chocolate chip cookie mixed in. Plus, look at all those chocolate chips and walnuts that you’re going to get to add as well!

Talk about a rich, delicious recipe that is perfect for holiday baking, too. If you’re into Christmas Cookie Exchanges, this recipe needs to be on your radar. It’s unique enough that there isn’t going to be anyone else that brings anything like this to share.

What Other Flavors Of Chocolate Chips Can I Use In This Recipe?

Honestly, whatever you would like. While chocolate chips are awesome in taste, you can use butterscotch chips and even white chocolate chips as well. It’s even possible for you to mix and match and have a little bit of them all.

What Will The Texture Be Like With These Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies?

One bite of these chewy salted caramel cookies and you’re going to be in dessert heaven. They’re a little bit on the chewy side but still have that crisp texture around the edges. And if you’re someone who loves a soft center to a cookie, you’re going to flip out over the texture of this one. With the tiny caramel bits, the chocolate chips and chopped walnuts, these cookies are soft, thick and while they do not always come out perfectly shaped when baked, they taste amazing. Just a heads up, it’s possible the little pieces of caramel can ooze out and may stick to the baking sheet.

How To Make These Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 375°
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter, brown sugar and sugar together until light and fluffy, creamy. Add vanilla and corn syrup, beat until combined. Beat in eggs.
  4. Gradually add flour mixture into sugar mixture, beat until combined.
  5. Stir chocolate chips, caramel pieces, and walnuts into the mixture.
  6. Using a 1-inch cookie scoop, or by rounded teaspoon, drop onto an ungreased baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 9 minutes.
  8. Let cool on baking sheet for 10 minutes then place on wire rack to cool.

As you can see from the directions above, these caramel cookies really don’t take long at all. If you have about 30 minutes of time, you’re going to be chowing down on some truly delicious homemade cookies.

How To Store Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies

If you happen to have any leftover, you can store them in an airtight container or bag. That way, they’ll stay as fresh as possible for as long as possible. And if you made a giant batch that you can’t possibly eat at once, you can even freeze these chocolate chip cookies for later.

Just add them to a freezer bag or container and place them in the freezer. Then, when that craving hits, just pull out one or two cookies and enjoy.

There you have it! You’re going to love these delicious caramel chocolate chip cookies.

Sounds and looks really great. I don’t understand the reason for the corn syrup. They must be really sweet.

Hi Lois, the reason I usually always add the little bit of corn syrup is because I always add extra flour to make the cookies thicker and the corn syrup helps keep them soft. I hope that makes sense but I’ve been doing this for years. :)
