Huevos Rancheros Breakfast Bowl

Huevos Rancheros is a Mexican dish consisting of eggs, sausage, beans, onions, peppers, and salsa. It’s a breakfast dish that will keep you going for hours!

What better way to start your morning than with this hearty and delicious breakfast? Eggs are an extremely important part of any balanced diet. They provide valuable nutrients such as high-quality protein, vitamins A, D, and B12 as well as minerals like selenium. The ingredients used here make the perfect combination for a filling meal without sacrificing on taste or health benefits!

What is a Huevos Rancheros Breakfast Bowl

If you’re in the mood for something hearty, Huevos Rancheros are a Mexican dish that will satisfy your cravings and fill up those hungry tummies. It means ranchers eggs and is a typical Mexican farmers breakfast. It features eggs, sausage, beans, peppers, and lots of salsa. In this case, everything is combined together in a bowl making it a simple and delicious breakfast.

How Long do The Breakfast Bowls Stay Good?

You can keep these Mexican Breakfast Bowls in the refrigerator for about four days. Make sure the bowls are stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. If the bowls are not stored properly, it will not last as long. If you will not be able finish the breakfast bowls before they go bad, you can also freeze them.

How to Freeze Breakfast Bowls

If freezing your breakfast bowls, make sure they have cooled completely first. I like to keep them in the refrigerator overnight and then move them to freezer. They will stay good for about 3 months.

How to Reheat the Breakfast Bowl

These breakfast bowls are perfect for having a simple breakfast all week long. After you have made the breakfast bowls and either stored them in the refrigerator or the freezer, you will need to reheat them.

If the bowls are frozen, it is best to let them thaw in the refrigerator first. Then you will want to microwave the bowls for about a minute and a half on medium power. Open the bowl, give it a stir, then microwave for another 30 seconds. If it needs more time, try 30 seconds at a time until it is heated through.

Can I Use Something Other than Sausage

Sausage is the perfect combination with these ingredients. However, if you do not like sausage or you don’t have it on hand, you can easily swap the sausage with another meat like ground beef or ground chicken. You can use bacon or ham and can even use leftover steak if that is what you have on hand.

What Else Can I Add in The Huevos Rancheros Breakfast Bowl

You can change up this huevo rancheros bowl by adding in some black beans, topping it with cheddar cheese, or adding a fried egg instead of scrambling the eggs. You can even serve it with corn tortillas and top it with some lime juice. There are so many different variations that you can use to spice up this recipe and all of them will be delicious.
