One Pan Roasted Chicken and Potatoes FAQ

If you have questions about this recipe, then read on. The following FAQ answers the most common questions about sheet pan meals.

What size sheet pan is best for sheet pan dinners?

A half-sheet pan is the best size. These pans are 18 x 13, made of heavy-gauge metal that can stand up to high heat and even broiling, and have a 1-inch rim on the edges to hold in juices.

Can you cook raw chicken with potatoes?

You sure can. The key is to ensure that you have the chicken and the potatoes cut into sizes that will both finish cooking at about the same time. That way, the chicken won’t be undercooked, and the potatoes won’t be overcooked.

Do I have to peel the potatoes first?

Absolutely not. In fact, I recommend leaving the skin on.

How do you roast potatoes and meat at the same time?

Cut your meat into even strips and cut your potatoes in half, thirds, or quarters, depending on their size. Doing this allows the meat and potatoes to finish roasting at the same time, ensuring even cooking.

How to Reheat Sheet Pan Chicken

I found it at Krogers. I did have to Google it bc I had never heard of it and had no idea what it looked like. It was $4.99 at Kroger.

This recipe is so tasty and easy. My husband and I enjoyed it very much. The glaze got much thinner in the oven than what your pictures show. It was very watery. Any suggestions?

    • Great Grub, Delicious Treats

      March 11, 2022 at 11:04 am

Hi Kay, I’m not sure why it was so runny for you. Maybe the heat was too low and it didn’t thicken up as it should have. If you try it again and it seems watery, let it cook and thicken up a little bit more. I’m so glad you and your husband enjoyed this recipe. Thank you for sharing. :)
