I’ve been making bread pudding almost from the time I started cooking and baking. I love the texture and flavor, and it’s a great way to get rid of old bread. It’s also incredibly delicious when you make it with bread bought especially for the pudding. Over the years, I’ve made all kinds of bread pudding, from plain, buttery varieties to citrus flavored and more. Recently, I’ve fallen in love with a bread pudding recipe that uses peppermint mocha coffee cream. Yep, coffee creamer. It’s an easy way to add some great flavor, and the peppermint mocha is perfect for the holiday season or any time of year. Versatility is great, isn’t it?
Peppermint Mocha Bread Pudding
This delicious bread pudding starts with Challah bread, my personal favorite for its flavor and texture. Then, I make classic bread pudding custard with a peppermint mocha coffee creamer twist, soak the bread, and bake it up to golden, gooey perfection. Finally, it’s topped with an easy vanilla glaze along with hot fudge and candied sprinkles if desired. It’s a rich, sweet bread pudding with the perfect texture. It doesn’t get much better!
