With this delicious Orange Bundt Cake, you are making a delicious white cake that is moist and airy, with a burst orange flavor. This flavorful cake is a delightful twist on a typical Bundt cake. This cake is an amazing treat to make for an easy weeknight dessert or for a special occasion. It can also be used as a bake sale dessert. We love this cake.

Orange flavor in desserts do not get enough attention. When it comes to orange, the flavor is sweet but tangy and it goes amazing with dessert. With this cake, the orange shines through and has such a delicious flavor. It pairs perfectly with the tang of the cream cheese frosting.

What Gives This Cake It’s Orange Flavor

When you are making this cake, you are using a basic white cake recipe and then flavoring it with orange. The orange flavor comes in by adding orange extract and orange zest to the batter. The orange color of this cake is made by adding orange food coloring. While you can skip this step if you prefer, it does add a beautiful presentation against the white cream cheese butter cream frosting.

Does This Orange Creamsicle Bundt Cake Need a Frosting

When you make this Orange Creamsicle Bundt Cake you will be making a cream cheese frosting. If you do not want to make a homemade cream cheese frosting, you can also use a store bought canned cream cheese frosting, however, homemade always tastes better.

Can This Frosting Be Orange Flavor?

If you want to make this frosting as an orange frosting, you can change the cream cheese frosting to an orange cream cheese frosting. By adding a small amount of orange extract with orange zest you can elevate this cream cheese frosting.

Can I make this Orange Bundt Cake in a Regular Pan

If you do not have a Bundt cake pan or want to make this cake a different way, you can make this orange cake in a 9 x 13 baking pan. The cake will bake for about 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Once the cake has cooled you can frost the cake. Once you make the cream cheese frosting, you will spread it out evenly over the cake.

How To Store this Bundt Cake

Normally, when you store a cake, you want to store it at room temperature. In this case, the cake needs to be stored in the refrigerator because it has a cream cheese frosting. While cake is best when it is store at room temperature, anytime it has cream cheese or fresh fruit, as well as a few other circumstances, you want to make sure it is refrigerated. This will keep the cake freshest for the longest amount of time. Make sure the cake is covered well with either plastic wrap or a cake cover. The cake will last for about 3 to 5 days when it is stored properly.
