BBQ Tri Tip Roast Recipe

Who doesn’t love barbecuing? This BBQ tri tip roast is one of our favorite pieces of beef to throw on the grill. It’s been a wonderful weekend for a barbecue and what a great piece of meat to start off the grilling season with.

BBQ Tri Tip Roast

Every time I barbecue tri tip my friend Ruben comes to mind. Quite a few years back, I had Ruben and his family up to my time share in Big Bear for dinner. We barbecued tri tip and they absolutely loved it. As I was barbecuing this tri tip on the grill today,I just kept thinking of all the fun we used to have when we worked together. So, I dedicate this post to my friend Ruben.

BBQ Tri Tip Roast

Honestly, I’m not sure this cut of beef is available across the country because a few of my friends have never heard of this cut where they live. But if you can get your hands on this, you should. Tri Tip is fantastic and great for the grill!

Grilled Tri Tip

Just grilling tri tip with seasonings is great but adding barbecue sauce makes a huge difference. All things grilled tastes a thousand times better with a fabulous tasting barbecue sauce. Agree?

BBQ Tri Tip Roast

Definitely looks mouthwatering to me, how about you? Just throw the tri tip roast on the grill, add some seasoning, salt and pepper, and top with your favorite BBQ sauce. Close the lid, turn to the lowest setting and enjoy the wonderful smells that grilling brings and pretty soon you will be enjoying this delicious BBQ tri tip roast.

BBQ Tri Tip Roast

Grill to your personal preference, whether it’s medium rare, medium, medium well or well done. To me, this choice of meat is best cooked medium or medium well. Mine was grilled a little more than normal but it was fabulous!
