  • Bacon: Brings smoky, crispy flavor that pairs perfectly with the creamy cheese and chicken.
  • Ranch Seasoning: Packs the filling with bold, savory flavor without needing a long list of spices.

How to Make Chicken Bacon Ranch Wonton Cups

A wood surface with a white bowl filled with chopped rotisserie chicken, bacon, shredded cheese, and green onions.

Step 1: Cook the bacon until crispy. Then, transfer to a plate lined with paper towels. Chop into small pieces. Then, in a medium bowl, mix the remaining filling ingredients together.

A 24-count muffin tin with wonton wrappers placed in some of the openings, and two wrappers placed on top of each other.

Step 2: Brush both sides of a wonton wrapper and press it into a muffin cup. Then, place another wrapper in the cup at 90° to form a star. Repeat to fill the cups and bake until golden.

Step 3: Spoon the mixture into the cups.

Step 4: Bake again until melty and bubbly. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce!

Expert Tips

  • Oil both sides of the cups for maximum crispness and no sticking.
  • Cool the bacon completely before chopping to ensure it’s as crispy as possible.
  • Use room temperature cream cheese for easy mixing and thorough distribution of the filling ingredients.
  • Serve the wonton cups immediately for the best flavor and texture.

Chicken Bacon Ranch Wonton Cups FAQs

Can I make Chicken Bacon Ranch Wonton Cups ahead of time?

Yes! For the best texture, bake the wonton shells and prepare the filling up to a day in advance. Store them separately in the refrigerator, then fill and bake just before serving so the shells stay nice and crispy.

What kind of cheese works best in Chicken Bacon Ranch Wonton Cups?

Pepper Jack cheese adds a mild kick that pairs well with the ranch seasoning, but cheddar, Monterey Jack, Colby Jack, mozzarella, or a Mexican cheese blend are all delicious alternatives.

How do I keep wonton cups crispy?

Pre-baking the wonton wrappers before adding the filling is the key to crispy cups. It’s also best to serve them warm shortly after baking and avoid microwaving leftovers, which can soften the wrappers.

How long are chicken bacon ranch wonton cups good?

Refrigerate wonton cups for up to 3 days in an airtight container.

Can I freeze Chicken Bacon Ranch Wonton Cups?

Yes. Once baked and cooled, place them in a freezer-safe container and freeze for up to 2 months.

How do I reheat leftover wonton cups?

For the best results, reheat them in the oven or air fryer at 350°F for 5 to 8 minutes. This helps restore the crispy wonton shell while warming the creamy filling.
