Tri Tip Grilled Cheese

  • leftover Tri Tip Roast sliced 1/4 inch thick
  • 6-8 pieces bread, (I used Texas toast)
  • 6-8 slices of cheese, I used spicy cheese)
  • Butter


  1. Butter each piece of bread.
  2. Place bread, buttered side down, in a large frying pan heated over low/medium heat.
  3. Place cheese, sliced roast, cheese and top with additional piece of bread, buttered side up.
  4. Cook over low/medium heat until desired crispiness is obtained.
  5. Flip over each sandwich and cook until done.

Recipe Notes

I cover the pan with a lid to help melt the cheese when I am making grilled cheese sandwiches that have additional ingredients like meat.
