This delicious Dutch Oven Pulled Pork (pork shoulder roast) is super tender, super flavorful, easy to make, is oven baked and seasoned perfectly. Tender, juicy, fall off the fork delicious!

For the Rub

  • Preheat the oven to 325°.
  • Place pork shoulder on a large cutting board.
  • In a small bowl, whisk all seasonings together. Set aside.
  • Rub with mustard all over the top and sides.
  • Next, rub the seasonings and spices all over the pork.
  • Using a large Dutch oven or roasting pan, add onions and whole garlic cloves.
  • Place pork roast, fat/skin side down on top of the onions.
  • Pour chicken broth into the pan and cover with foil.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 7-7.5 hours or until pork is fall off the fork tender.
  • Carefully remove from the oven and let rest for 30-45 minutes. Leave foil tented over the top.
  • Remove pork from the bone and serve with your favorite side dish and a side salad.
  • *Add additional broth if necessary as it bakes.
