Spicy Italian Sausage Pasta

This spicy Italian sausage pasta is absolutely delicious. It's a hearty, easy and filling pasta recipe that can be made in advance, is great for serving leftovers and if you are not into spicy, it's an easy recipe to change up to your liking.

  • In a large pot, bring water to a boil and cook pasta according to package directions. Rinse and put back in pot.
  • Using a large cast-iron skillet, or large frying pan, over medium heat, add sausage, onions and bell pepper. Crumble sausage as it cooks and stir frequently.
  • Sprinkle seasonings onto sausage mixture, stir. Continue cooking until sausage is no longer pink and onions and bell pepper are tender.
  • Drain any excess grease and return to pan.
  • Pour tomato sauce, tomato paste, Rotel® and water into sausage, stir to combine.
  • Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Add sausage mixture into pot with pasta, stir.
  • Next, add shredded mozzarella cheese into pot, stir and then enjoy with a side salad and garlic bread, if desired.
