Remove steak from refrigerator and let sit out at room temperature for 25-30 minutes.
Season both sides of steaks with garlic salt and pepper making sure to rub the seasoning into the steak and then add a little more seasoning right before adding them to the pan (can adjust amount of seasoning to desired amount).
Using a cast iron pan, heat pan over high heat.
Add olive oil and heat, then add steaks to hot pan, two at a time.
Sear steaks for about 1 minute then turn over and sear the other side.
Continuing cooking and flipping the steaks a couple more times then add butter to the pan, melt and continue flipping the steaks every minute for even cooking, basting the steaks with the melted butter as they cook.
Cook steaks until internal temperature reaches:120°-130° - Rare130°-135° - Medium rare135°-145° - Medium145°-155° - Well155°-135° -Well done Remove from pan and enjoy!
