Loaded Mashed Potato Bites

These delicious loaded mashed potato bites are loaded with all our favorite ingredients in loaded mashed potatoes. A bite-size treat everyone will enjoy.

For the coating

  • Using a large pot, add diced potatoes and diced jalapeños. Cover with water and bring to a boil
  • Cook until fork tender, drain, and return to pot
  • Add butter, sour cream, seasoning, pepper, and stir.
  • Next, add cheese, crumbled bacon, diced green onions, and mix until combined
  • When cool, use a tablespoon or cookie scoop, make into 1 inch balls

For the coating

  • Heat oil to 375º in a medium heavy bottom pan or deep fryer
  • In a small bowl, whisk together buttermilk and egg
  • Dip/roll each ball in flour
  • Next, add to buttermilk mixture and then into the Panko breadcrumbs
  • Place in hot oil and deep fry until golden brown
