Italian Sausage Chili

  • 1 lb Hot Italian sausage
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp cumin
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 15 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 10.5 oz can Rotel
  • 29 oz can kidney beans, drained, rinsed
  • 29 oz can pinto beans, drained, rinsed
  • 15.5 oz can black beans, drained, rinsed
  • 28 oz can red enchilada sauce
  • 28 oz can green enchilada sauce
  • 4 oz can diced green chiles


  1. In a large frying pan, crumble and brown Italian sausage, ground beef, onions, bell pepper and garlic together and cook until meat is no longer pink. 

  2. Drain grease and add meat mixture to a large dutch oven or saucepan.  Sprinkle with seasoning, salt and pepper. Stir

  3. Add remaining ingredients to large saucepan, cover and cook over low flame for about an hour, stirring occasionally. 

  4. Optional: Top with grated cheese and sour cream and serve with corn bread. Enjoy!
