Ham and Cheese Egg Boats

Ingredients

  • 12-15 eggs, large
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 lb slab of ham, diced small
  • 3/4 cup onions, chopped small
  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 country french loaves of bread from Costco┬«

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350┬░
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk eggs, heavy cream, garlic salt, salt and pepper together until combined.
  3. In a large frying pan, cook onions and ham for about 5 minutes then add to egg mixture.
  4. Stir in both cheeses and mix well.
  5. Cut a v-shape cut lengthwise in the top of both loaves of bread.
  6. Remove the inner bread, leaving about 1/2 - 3/4 inch along the bottom and sides.
  7. Fill with ham and egg mixture
  8. Wrap in foil and bake for 45-55 minutes.
  9. Remove foil and continue baking until done.
  10. Top with additional cheese and enjoy.
