Strawberry Cream Cheese Pastry

This delicious strawberry cream cheese pastry ring is made with a sweet cream cheese mixture, a fresh strawberry sauce, and refrigerated crescent rolls. Made into a pastry ring, then it is baked to golden perfection and drizzled with glaze.

  • 2 containers Pillsbury refrigerated crescent rolls

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Strawberry Filling

  • In a small saucepan over low heat, add strawberries, sugar, 3 tablespoons water, and lemon juice. Stir to combine and cook until strawberries have cooked down and a sauce starts to form.
  • In a small bowl, combine remaining water with cornstarch. Add to strawberry mixture and stir to combine.
  • Continue stirring until the strawberry mixture has thickened. Set aside to cool.

Cream Cheese Mixture

  • In a medium mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  • Add sugar, egg yolk, vanilla, and lemon juice. Beat for an additional 2 minutes, or until all ingredients are well combined.
  • Unroll crescent rolls and separate into pre cut triangles.
  • Place triangles on an ungreased baking sheet so the wider end of roll is in the center, forming a circle with about a 5 inch opening in the center. When forming the circle, the wider ends of the crescent rolls will overlap.
  • Spread cream cheese mixture over the wide part of the crescent rolls.
  • Spoon strawberry filling on top of cream cheese mixture.
  • Fold the small tip of each crescent roll over and tuck tip under the wider part to secure forming the ring.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 20-22 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.

Glaze Drizzle

  • In a small mixing bowl, combine powdered sugar and milk. Whisk until fully combined and desired consistency is reached.
  • Drizzle glaze over cooled pastry ring.
