Cream Cheese Avocado Bacon Bites

These delicious cream cheese avocado bacon bites are super tasty and make a great appetizer. The flavor in each bite is incredible and just the perfect amount of crispiness and crunchiness.

Avocado Bacon Appetizers

Each bite is loaded with avocado, cream cheese, bacon, two types of cheese, green onions, a little red onion, cilantro, jalapenos and seasoned perfectly. Then each delicious avocado bacon bite is fried to a golden brown. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Game Day Appetizer Recipes

The perfect appetizer for parties, game days and family gatherings. These delicious bites are a bit time consuming but are well worth the time. Everyone will love and enjoy these.

How To Make Cream Cheese Avocado Bacon Bites

   For The Cream Cheese Avocado Bacon Filling

  • Fry bacon until crispy then place fried bacon on a plate lined with paper towels. Once cool enough to handle, crumble and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese for 2-3 minutes on medium speed until creamy.
  • Add remaining ingredients, except avocados, stir.
  • Gently stir diced avocados into mixture then chill in the fridge for an hour.

   For The Coating

  • Add flour to a bowl.
  • Whisk egg and buttermilk together in another bowl.
  • Place bread crumbs in a third bowl.
  • Form about a tablespoon of mixture into a ball.
  • Roll each ball in flour, then into the buttermilk mixture, lastly into the bread crumbs and place on a baking sheet that will fit into the freezer.
  • Flash freeze for about an hour so they hold their shape while frying.

How To Fry The Avocado Bacon Bites

  • Using a large cast iron pan or heavy bottom pan, heat oil over medium heat to 350°.
  • Place approximately 6-8 balls in frying pan and fry until golden brown, turning frequently, approximately 2 minutes.
  • Remove from oil and place on a plate lined with paper towels.
  • Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Cream Cheese Avocado Bacon Bites

This delicious avocado bacon cream cheese bites are filled with avocados, bacon, cream cheese, two types of cheese, sliced green onions, a little red onion, cilantro and jalapenos, and seasoned perfectly. They are crispy golden brown on the outside and deliciousness inside.

Ingredients
  

For The Cream Cheese Avocado Bacon Filling

  • (2) 8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
  • 3 large avocados, diced small
  • 1 lb bacon, crisp and crumbled
  • 1 cup Sharp cheddar, shredded
  • 1 cup Pepper Jack, shredded
  • ½ cup diced jalapenos (I used diced pickled jalapenos from a jar)
  • ½ cup green onions, sliced
  • ½ cup cilantro, chopped
  • ¼ cup red onions, diced
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • ½ tsp Cajun seasoning
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp lime juice

For The Coating

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1-2 cups Panko bread crumbs
  • 2+ cups vegetable oil

Instructions

    This recipe appeared in my Keto appetizer search.
    They sound delicious and are keto except for the flour and panko ingredients.
    I’m going to sub almond meal for those ingredients, then I’ll report back.

      Hi C, I have not used an air fryer for this recipe but it’s worth a try. Just do a few and see how it works. If it works great, if not, go ahead and fry them. They are DELICIOUS!

6 tomatillos 4 jalapenos, stems removed 3 serranos, stems removed 2 cloves garlic, roasted ¼ onion ¼ cup water 2 teaspoons salt 2 avocado, diced ⅓ cup cilantro In a medium saucepan, add oil and heat over medium heat. Add garlic cloves and roast until soft. Remove and add to blender or Vitamix. In the same saucepan, add tomatillos, jalapenos, serranos and onion. Cover with cold water and bring to a boil over medium high heat until soft and the color has changed to a pale green. Remove tomatillos and continue boiling the peppers until pale green, if needed. Drain water, reserving ¼ cup. Add the cooked ingredients, salt and ½ cup water. Blend until combined and smooth. Lastly, add avocados and cilantro and blend until smooth. Serve with your favorite chips or top tacos, burritos, beef, chicken or your favorite Mexican recipes.
